WASHINGTON — Dec 5 (GeokHub) Apple has sent a new round of cyber-threat notifications to users across 84 countries, warning that some devices might be targeted by sophisticated spyware or state-linked hacking campaigns. This alert is part of the company’s ongoing effort to protect users from high-risk digital threats.

The company did not reveal how many users received the notifications, nor did it identify the alleged attackers, but stressed the importance of vigilance and security hygiene for those warned. Apple says this brings the total number of countries where it has issued such warnings to more than 150 since it began the program.

With cyber attacks growing more advanced globally — especially spyware campaigns targeting individuals — Apple’s move reflects growing concern over user privacy and safety. The warnings follow previous rounds that highlighted threats to journalists, activists, public officials, and other vulnerable individuals.
