Feb. 1 (GeokHub) — Elon Musk’s social media platform X experienced a temporary service disruption on Sunday, affecting over 19,000 users in the United States, according to data from outage tracking site Downdetector.com.
The outage reportedly lasted approximately 45 minutes, with service largely restored by 12:04 p.m. ET. The platform did not immediately provide a comment on the incident.
Downdetector compiles outage reports from multiple sources, but the actual number of affected users may vary from what the site displays, as reports are submitted by individual users.
Short-lived outages like this highlight the challenges even large social media platforms face in maintaining uninterrupted service, especially during periods of high traffic.
