Logitech Delivers Strongest Quarterly Profit Since Pandemic as Education and Video Gear Sales Rise

ZURICH (GeokHub) — Logitech International posted its strongest quarterly profit since the height of the pandemic, driven by rising demand for video conferencing equipment and increased education-sector spending.
The U.S.-Swiss maker of computer peripherals reported revenue of $1.42 billion for the three months ended December 31, marking a 6% increase from a year earlier and coming in slightly above market expectations. The company’s adjusted operating income surged 17% to $312 million, comfortably exceeding forecasts and underscoring a sharp improvement in profitability.
Education and Video Collaboration Lead Growth
Much of the performance was fueled by strong sales of keyboards and protective covers for tablets purchased by schools, alongside growing demand for video collaboration tools such as webcams, speakers, and microphones used in remote and hybrid work environments.
Traditional products like computer mice and keyboards also recorded solid gains, signaling broad-based demand across Logitech’s core categories.
Pricing Power and Cost Controls Boost Margins
Logitech said it raised prices by roughly 10% in the United States last year to offset tariff pressures, while simultaneously tightening cost controls. These measures helped lift margins despite ongoing trade-related headwinds.
Company leadership noted that growth was spread across consumer and business segments, as well as across multiple geographic regions.
Excluding the extraordinary demand seen during pandemic lockdowns, the quarter represented a record operating income performance for the company.
Manufacturing Shift Away From China
As part of its long-term strategy to reduce exposure to U.S. tariffs, Logitech has shifted a significant portion of its production away from China. The company said it has completed its plan to cut the share of U.S.-bound products manufactured in China from 40% to under 10%.
Facilities in China will continue to supply domestic and international markets outside the United States, while alternative production hubs support global distribution.
Outlook Remains Positive
Looking ahead, Logitech forecast fourth-quarter sales growth of between 6% and 8%, with expected revenue ranging from $1.07 billion to $1.09 billion. Adjusted operating income is projected to fall between $155 million and $165 million.
The outlook suggests continued momentum as demand for hybrid work tools and education technology remains resilient.
