Realme, known for its budget and mid-range smartphones, has a significant presence in India, Southeast Asia, and Europe. The brand will continue operating under its name but will align more closely with Oppo’s technology, supply chain, and marketing strategies.

BBK Electronics, a dominant force in the global smartphone market, also owns Vivo alongside Oppo and Realme. Analysts say the integration is likely designed to streamline BBK’s portfolio while intensifying competition with global rivals such as Samsung and Xiaomi.

A company spokesperson confirmed that the move will enable the brands to pool research and development, optimize manufacturing, and leverage Oppo’s retail channels, but added that Realme will maintain its own brand identity in key international markets.
