BEIJING — Feb 11 (GeokHub) - Chinese technology firm Wingtech said on Wednesday it will pursue all available legal options to restore full control over semiconductor company Nexperia, following a court ruling in the Netherlands that ordered an investigation into the chipmaker’s management.

In a filing to the Shanghai Stock Exchange, Wingtech stated it would “exhaust all legal means” to reassert its authority over Nexperia, which it owns through its corporate structure.

The development follows a decision by a Dutch court to initiate a probe into alleged mismanagement at Nexperia BV. The court also upheld a previous ruling from October that suspended former Nexperia CEO Zhang Xuezheng — who is also the founder of Wingtech — from his position.

Corporate Governance Tensions

The legal dispute highlights growing tensions surrounding governance and oversight at Nexperia, a key player in the global semiconductor supply chain. While the court’s investigation focuses on internal management practices, Wingtech’s response signals it intends to challenge actions that limit its influence over the company.

Nexperia, headquartered in the Netherlands, manufactures essential semiconductor components used in automotive, industrial, and consumer electronics applications. The company has attracted attention in recent years amid heightened scrutiny of cross-border technology ownership and semiconductor supply chains.
