Airports in Denmark were disrupted again as unidentified drones entered restricted airspace, prompting temporary closures and heightened security measures. The Danish government described the incidents as a coordinated threat to critical infrastructure.
The recent incursions followed a similar drone disruption earlier in the week at Copenhagen’s main airport. In the latest cases, facilities including Aalborg and Billund were affected, with flights delayed or diverted while investigations unfolded.
Authorities also reported drone sightings near military bases and other strategic locations across western Denmark. The patterns resembled earlier episodes, involving drones hovering with blinking lights and then dispersing without being intercepted.
Despite speculation about foreign involvement, Russia denied responsibility, rejecting the accusations as “absurd.” Danish officials are working with national security agencies and international partners to trace the source of the attacks and fortify airspace defenses.
