NBA commissioner Adam Silver has stated that the 2026 All-Star Game will remain at the Los Angeles Clippers’ new venue, even as the league looks into possible salary cap violations involving the team.
Silver said the planning for All-Star Weekend is proceeding independently and there is no plan to relocate the event. He made the comments during a media appearance in Stamford.
Last month, the NBA opened an investigation following reports of a $28 million “no-show” endorsement deal involving Clippers star Kawhi Leonard and a now-bankrupt company. The deal allegedly saw payment without substantive promotional activity, raising questions about whether the team circumvented salary caps.
Clippers owner Steve Ballmer had invested in the company, and the team also entered into a major commercial partnership with it in 2021. Should the investigation find wrongdoing, potential penalties include fines up to $7.5 million, voided contracts, or loss of draft picks.
The All-Star Game is scheduled for February 15, 2026, and will be held at the Intuit Dome, the Clippers’ new arena. NBC is set to broadcast the event.
