March 3 (GeokHub) Military tensions in the Middle East escalated sharply on Tuesday after Israel launched airstrikes on targets in Tehran and Beirut, widening a confrontation that is increasingly drawing regional and international actors into direct hostilities.
Explosions were reported in multiple districts of Tehran, where Israeli aircraft were said to have struck sites linked to military infrastructure. In Beirut, additional strikes targeted positions associated with Hezbollah, intensifying cross-border exchanges that have flared in recent days.
The Israeli military did not immediately release full operational details but said it was responding to continued threats originating from Iran and allied forces in Lebanon.
Drones Strike U.S. Diplomatic Compound
In a further sign of the conflict’s expanding reach, drones struck the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh in Riyadh, officials in Saudi Arabia confirmed.
Authorities reported material damage and a localized fire inside the compound. No casualties were immediately reported, and security personnel were accounted for. The United States urged its citizens in the kingdom to remain alert and follow safety guidance as investigations into the drone origins continued.
Regional security analysts said the targeting of a diplomatic mission marks a significant escalation, raising concerns about broader retaliation and the potential involvement of additional state actors.
