Trump Ends Ties with Musk, Warns of 'Serious Consequences' Over Political Funding
Donald Trump has confirmed that his relationship with Elon Musk is officially over after a public feud, warning that the billionaire could face “very serious consequences” if he financially backs Democrats or rivals in future elections.
Trump dropped the bombshell during a call with NBC News, saying he’s “too busy doing other things” and has “no intention of speaking to him” . The spat reignited after Musk slammed Trump’s flagship tax-and-spend package—known as the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act”—calling it a “disgusting abomination” for ballooning the federal deficit .
Musk went further on X (formerly Twitter), suggesting Trump should be impeached and even alleging links to the Epstein files, though he later deleted those posts.
Trump responded by branding Musk “crazy” and hinted at slashing government contracts held by SpaceX and Starlink
Amid the chaos, Vice President JD Vance warned Musk’s attacks were “a huge mistake,” describing the billionaire as having gone “so nuclear.” He added that Musk may never be welcomed back into the Republican fold
