Man Utd Eye Two Striker Targets After Brentford’s Mbeumo U‑Turn

Manchester United face a pivotal decision in their summer rebuild after a surprising reversal from Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo, who has now expressed a strong preference for Old Trafford.

United’s opening bid of £55 million—structured as £45 m guaranteed plus £10 m in add-ons—was rejected, with Brentford holding firm on a £60 m+ valuation. Despite this, Mbeumo’s stated preference for United over Arsenal, Newcastle, and Tottenham has strengthened the Red Devils’ position.

However, if an agreement can't be reached, United have lined up an alternative: Sporting CP’s prolific striker Viktor Gyökeres, with sources reporting renewed interest. Gyökeres notched an incredible 54 goals in 52 games last season, and United are reportedly poised to launch a move.
